Adaption

Maintenance and adaption are different things. Maintenance is required to keep a site current in it's content and design. Adaption looks at historical usage, new market forces and external influences to decide on the plans effectiveness and currency. Should the plan change (and ALL plans do) or the requirement be modified, the site needs to adapt to suit. This is a really strategic re-evaluation to efficiently keep the process on target.

websites need to change with the market and simple adaption is the key to this. Should your business be more fluid, a higher degree of adaption may have to be built-in from the start. If you are in a more historically stable market, this may be less of a concern. However, history clearly tells us that those who adapt usually survive, so it is a good plan - to plan for it!
